Procedures
New Students
Registration procedures can be found on the new
student registration page.
Returning Students
STEP 1
Schedule an appointment with your faculty adviser. (Sign-up
sheet available beginning February 21, on adviser’s
door.)
To view your degree audit from the Student Portal, click on Degree
Audit and then choose Details (see www.agts.edu/estudent ).
Discrepancies on your degree program should be reported to
the Registrar’s Office (268-1025, registrar@agts.edu). Remember: You
are ultimately responsible to take the correct courses to satisfy
the degree requirements as stated in the catalog.
Two options available for academic registration: 1) Secure registration form in Registrar’s Office and schedule appointment with adviser; or 2) Schedule appointment with adviser and complete and e-sign the online academic registration form (see email for procedures ). Note: E-signature required for online registration form. Exceptions must be processed in the Registrar’s Office (e.g., DR’s, Course Substitutions, etc.)
When you list your course selections, check course numbers, hours, and total credits to be sure they are correct. If a class is cross-listed [MSS 637/CE 628], select the appropriate letter designated for your degree. Maximum course load: 15 hours/semester.
Proceed to Step 2.
STEP 2: ACADEMIC ADVISER
Give your adviser the Registration Card. The adviser must approve your selections, sign the card, and return the form to you before you proceed to Step 3. Note: If you choose to academically register online, the adviser’s name and date of appointment are required fields.
STEP 3: REGISTRAR’S OFFICE
Submit your registration card to the Registrar and proceed to Step 4. Note: Registrations are accepted on a first-come basis. Graduates are encouraged to register early and to advise staff if running into scheduling problems.
STEP 4: BUSINESS OFFICE
Financial registration must be completed within 5 business days of academic registration. To complete the process, stop by the Business Office. Failure to complete financial registration will result in you being dropped from your classes.
STEP 5: BOOKSTORE
Stop by the AGTS Bookstore beginning mid-April to select books (located in room 233 on second floor).
