The Michael and Frances Cardone, Sr. Building

This state-of-the-art building is named in honor of Michael, Sr. and Frances Cardone.

Michael Cardone, Sr. was a leading Philadelphia industrialist and philanthropist. He was the founder and chairman of Cardone Industries, world's largest privately held remanufacturer of auto parts.

Born in 1916 in Hughestown, Penn., the son of an immigrant Italian coal miner, Michael Cardone migrated to Philadelphia as an 18-year-old to work as a garage mechanic in 1934.

Before he died on October 19, 1994 at the age of 78, he and his wife made a generous donation to the AGTS Capital Campaign that was an early stimulus to others who in turn made pledges to the successful project.

In 1941 Frances met Michael, Sr. at a young people's meeting at church. After their marriage on September 18, 1941, Frances devoted herself to creating a God-honoring home. Frances and Michael, Sr. attributed their success to God, and remained committed to supporting the message of His Word.

An outstanding churchman Michael Cardone dedicated himself to advancing Christian ministries around the world. He helped found many churches including the Christian Life Center in Bensalem, Penn. that he and his family attended. Frances joined Michael, Sr. in heaven April of 1997.
