2010 Spring Lecture
- Guest Speaker: Dr. Christopher J. H. Wright
- Dr. Wright heads the Theological Commission for the Lausanne Conference in 2010, where leaders will gather from around the world.

- Monday, January 18, AGTS classes and offices will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Improve Your Writing!
- Graduate work can be frustrating if your writing competency is not where it should be.
- We recommend three options depending on the level of help you need.
- Have a fellow student edit your written assignments and coach you on how to improve.
- Enroll in the "Write Place" at Evangel University. See Jan Maempa in the AGTS Dean's Office.
- You will receive one hour of one-toone coaching for ten weeks (total of ten hours).
- Enroll in THE 531 Theological Writing.Receive a total of 12 hours of classroom instruction and up to 24 hours of one-to-one coaching. One credit course at regular tuition rate.
- (This does not fulfill any degree program or elective requirements.)

Spring Course Changes
- Tuesday, January 19 is the final deadline to make spring course changes. The tuition refund policy for spring courses dropped:
- 90% January 5-11
- 80% January 12-19
- 70% January 20-28
- No refund after January 28.
Free Audit for Spouses
- The spouse of a full-time student can audit on class this spring free of charge. Download the "Student Spouse Registration for Unofficial Audit" form and return to the Registrar's Office before January 19 (www.agts.edu)
Summer/Fall Pre-registration
- Registration is Monday-Friday, March 1-5.
- Summer graduates should plan to register early that week.

To apply for 2010—2011 Student Loans
- Have on hand the following:
- Your Dept. of Ed. PIN Number
- Your Social Security Number
- Your driver's livense
- A copy of your 2009 Income
T axes
- Go online to www.FAFSA.ed.gov Click on: "Fill out a FAFSA"
- After completing the FAFSA, submit your request with your Pin number.
- (The Pin serves as an electronic signature and your FAFSA will be sent to the Financial Aid Office)

Deferred Payment Dates
- Deferred payments for the spring semester are due on or before January 4, February 15 and March 15.
- Payments must be received in the Business Office on or before these dates in order to avoid the $25 per month late fee.
Scholarship Applications for Fall 2010
- Scholarship applications for the fall semester are available in the Business Office in January.
- The forms must be completed and submitted by 4:30 p.m.on January 29.
- Awards will be determined by the Scholarship Committee and scholarship notifications made by
March 1.

- In the rare event that
classes are canceled due
to severe winter weather,
the major television
and radio stations in
Springfield will be notified that the
Assemblies of God Theological
Seminary (not the same as the
Assembly of God Christian School)
has canceled classes. Before calling
the Seminary, listen for such
announcements.
- The number to call at AGTS to check for delay or cancellation updates is 417-268-1051.
Prayer Opportunities
- The Khoo Kay Peng Prayer Room is literally at the center of the AGTS complex; we want to insure
that it is at the spiritual center of our life together.
- As we enter a new year, please make time for prayer in the prayer room.
Spiritual Formation Requirement
- New students need to make an
appointment with Dr. Jay
Taylor to fulfill the Spiritual
Formation requirement.
- Second semester students who
have not met with Dr. Jay Taylor need to pick up the Wagner-Modified Houts Questionnaire in the Student Services office.
- Please contact Treasa in the Student Services Office to schedule an appointment or call 268-1081.

- December 20—Spoke at a Christmas service at Full Life Christian Center in San Francisco
- Angela Reid
- Spoke to the Mothers of
Preschoolers group (MOPS)
at Ridgecrest Baptist Church
on November 20. The topic was
"Self-Worth and the Image of God."
- Coordinated the first Women in Mental Health Luncheon on November 10 for professionals in
the Springfield area. Networking luncheons will be held monthly and will target AGTS Counseling alumni and female colleagues practicing in mental health.
- Was nominated for inclusion in the annual publication Who's Who in America.
