The AGTS community sets this day aside to
seek God. We were hungry for him and desire to be used
in ways that conform to his will. As disciples of Christ,
we are accustomed to living our daily lives dedicated
to him, but in the midst of all the work, sometimes we
forget to give him space. On this occasion, we fasted
from work and classes, purposefully setting our hearts, minds and bodies on a path to seek him during three no-frill
services, which each included worship, preaching
and prayer.

Les Welk (’08) serves as the superintendent of the Northwest Ministry Network of the AG. He assumed this position on July 1, 2002 after serving as the assistant superintendent for seven years. His love and concern for the churches and pastors of the Network serves him well for this post.
Superintendent Welk is the chairman of the Board of Directors for Northwest University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for AG Higher Education as well as the task force to increase the number of younger credentialed ministers and is a member of the General Council’s General Presbytery.
