Cheryl
Taylor, D.Min.
Director of D.Min. Program
Visiting Professor of Practical Theology
Cheryl is an experienced administrator and missionary educator that came to AGTS following a decade of ministry in the local church and at the district office. In addition to serving as the doctor of ministry program director at AGTS, Cheryl also serves as the vice president for academics at an AG Bible college in Singapore. A popular speaker at retreats and conferences, Cheryl is being used by God to help ministers gain an increased appreciation for the importance of maintaining and promoting sexual integrity in the church. Ava Oleson
D.Min.
Program Coordinator
Ava is an ordained minister with the AG, and has been in full-time ministry for over 25 years., including an associate pastor role at Life Center in Tacoma, Washington, the largest AG church on the west coast. She has been appointed one of the first two female presbyters with the Northwest Ministry Network. Prior to serving at Life Center, she was active in ministry leadership and private practice in Southern California, Brussels, Belgium, Argentina and Toronto. Ava is an advocate for the power of education. One of her favorite quotes is by Louis Pasteur, “Chance favors the prepared mind.”
She has a Bachelors degree in Religion from Vanguard University and a Masters degree from Fuller Seminary's School of Psychology. She is completing her Doctor of Ministry degree at AGTS. Email Ava |

Lois Olena, D.Min.

Project Coordinator
Visiting Professor of Practical Theology and Jewish Studies
Involved in numerous avenues of local church ministry since her youth, Lois brings a broad spectrum of ministry experience to her role as project coordinator. A product of the program herself, Lois has been integrally involved for the past three years with participants in the project phase, serving as a D.Min. editor, writing coach, interim project coordinator and consultant for the Project class. She has published Holocaust curricula and poetry as well as the official biography of Stanley Horton. She also teaches courses in Jewish Studies and Theology at Evangel University. Email Lois. |
