D.Min. Project Coordinator

B.S., Valley Forge Christian College

D.Min., Assemblies of God Theological Seminary

Involved in numerous avenues and positions of church ministry since her youth, Dr. Olena brings a broad spectrum of ministry experience to her role as D.Min. Project Coordinator and a member of the faculty at AGTS. She has published Holocaust curricula and poetry, numerous articles, a chapter on the history of AG race relations in the book We’ve Come This Far: Reflections on the Pentecostal Tradition and Reconciliation, and Restoration: Multidisciplinary Studies from a Pentecostal Perspective, and also the official biography of Dr. Stanley M. Horton, Stanley M. Horton: Shaper of Pentecostal Theology. Two forthcoming co-edited/co-authored books include Children of the Calling: Essays in Honor of Stanley M. Burgess and Ruth Vassar Burgess (Wipf and Stock, 2014) and a volume on women in ministry leadership in the Global Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies series (Brill, 2015). She also teaches courses in Jewish Studies and Theology at Evangel University and AGTS and served for several years as editor of AGTS' e-journal Encounter: Journal for Pentecostal Ministry. Lois also serves as Executive Director for the Society for Pentecostal Studies.

"I love fostering a sense of spiritual heritage and ‘response-ability’—through an increased understanding of the Jewish roots of Christian faith, a grasp of church history that appreciates the interrelatedness of Judaism and Christianity, a Hebraic approach to Scripture that accurately communicates the mission of God for world redemption, and a Jewish-friendly presentation of the gospel." — Lois Olena
