Veterans Affairs: Air Force Chaplian Candidates
Tuition Assistance
AGTS students in the Air Force Chaplain Candidate
Program can submit requests for tuition assistance utilizing
the DANTES enrollment form. Fill out the DANTES enrollment
form for each class, and include the course title, course number,
tuition amount for that course, the start and end date of the
class and other information requested on the form. Requests
for tuition assistance must be submitted prior to the beginning
date of the class, otherwise, it will not be awarded*. After
you have completed the forms, return them to the AGTS VA Representative.
The AGTS VA Representative can fax your forms free of charge.
Following course completion, Delaina Hull at AFRC/DPTS needs
a verification of enrollment with grades. The VA Representative
can request the verification of enrollment with grades from
the AGTS Registrar's Office, on behalf of the student. Upon
receipt of grades AFRC/DPTS will notify DANTES to process the
reimbursement directly to the member's reserve pay account–as
activity from DFAS Pensacola. It generally take 8-12 weeks
for the reimbursement to be processed, once the grade(s) are
received. For more detailed information see the Air
Force Reserve Tuition Assistance Program Operating Guideand
an Air
Force quick reference sheet.

* This is important for students who want to
register for classes at the start of the academic year. We
must submit requests for tuition assistance prior to the beginning
of classes.
