The Internet provides tremendous opportunities and challenges for prospective researchers. The "web" has become an invaluable tool for obtaining resources on an infinite variety of topics. However, the lack of any systematic organization or quality control greatly complicates the work of the student who must sift through this vast amount of information.

This Section attempts to provide you with some direction, giving you a starting point for your online research. We hope to give you a better idea of the types of resources available, help you find helpful resources for particular areas of study, and help you learn how to evaluate what you find online and to develop your own search strategies.
