New Research Databases

Date Posted: 7/29/2013

A variety of new databases have been made available to AGTS students and faculty over the summer of 2013. Some of the key additions:

Pro Quest Dissertations and Theses Full Text. This is the same database AGTS already had access to but now includes the full text dissertations for ́graduate works added since 1997, along with selected full texts for works written prior to 1997."

Academic Search Complete (EBSCO). An upgrade from the Academic Search Premier collection, providing indexing and full text from approximately 4,000 additional titles. This is the primary, multi-disciplinary, indexing and full text database available through EBSCO.

Old Testament Abstracts (EBSCO) ; New Testament Abstracts (EBSCO) ; Christian Periodical Index (EBSCO). These abstracting and indexing tools are now available in an online format through the EBSCOhost interface.

EBSCO eBook Academic Collection. See the EBSCO Ebook announcement for further details.

EBSCO Ebook Databases Now Available

Date Posted: 7/29/2013

All AGTS and Evangel students, faculty, and staff may now access E-books through EBSCO's eBook databases. These databases may be searched alongside many of our subscribed periodicals indexing and Full Text databases using the EBSCOhost online interface. Access to these databases is made possible due to Evangel University's participation in the new "eMO" program offered by the MOBIUS consortium. This subscription replaces AGTS' former subscription to the ebrary Academic Complete collection.

Description of EBSCO's eBook Academic Collection: This growing subscription package contains a large selection of multidisciplinary eBook titles representing a broad range of academic subject matter, and is a strong complement for any academic collection. The breadth of information available through this package ensures that users will have access to information relevant to their research needs. More than 114,000 titles are included in this package - all titles are available with unlimited user access, and titles are added to the package on a monthly basis.
