AGTS News: A busy summer at AGTS

At most schools, summer is "down time" for staff, faculty and students—time to relax, catch up on neglected projects and take much needed vacations. Not at AGTS!

Every summer at AGTS is busy, but this summer may have been the busiest yet.

This summer AGTS hosted

  • 12 doctoral classes with a total of 74 students.
  • 4 classes for the Summer Institute for Islamic Studies (SIIS) with a total of 69 students (up from 31 in 2012) offered through the Center for Islamic Studies at AGTS.
  • Two weeks of training for the National Association of Church Business Administration with 11 participants from Assemblies of God, Southern Baptist and Methodist churches.
  • Seminarians class with 21 students offered through the Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education for AG seminarians at non-AG schools.
  • a group of ministers from the Assemblies of God in Japan.

All of this happened in addition to 13 regularly scheduled resident summer classes, the beginning of a hefty consolidation process, and a major building renovation that replaced the carpet and temporarily displaced offices throughout the entire building, (Special thanks to 327 donors who helped make that renovation possible!)
