AGTS Announces Interim Academic Dean

AGTS is pleased to welcome Dr. Richard Dresselhaus to serve as interim academic dean for the fall 2002 semester. Dr. Dresselhaus has served as senior pastor of First Assembly of God in San Diego, Calif. since 1970. He will continue to serve his congregation while regularly commuting to AGTS in Springfield, Mo.

Dr. Dresselhaus brings a rich history of pastoral ministry to this position. His extensive experience pastoring combined with sturdy scholarly credentials will serve to highlight the pastor-scholar model so critical to effective seminary training.

Dr. Dresselhaus is a graduate of Luther College (BA) Wheaton Graduate School (MA) and Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min). He has served as adjunct faculty at AGTS where he regularly teaches preaching classes (including this fall semester). Dresselhaus also serves as an executive presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God and as a member of the board of directors for AGTS.
