Springfield, Mo.—April 9, 2008—On Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) will award Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity and Master of Arts degrees to 127 graduates from
- 31 states and Puerto Rico (36 graduates from Missouri),
- 8 countries and
- 9 different denominations.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony at Central Assembly of God, Springfield, Mo.
Rev. Dan Betzer will deliver the keynote address. A veteran of over 60 years in broadcast media, Rev. Betzer hosts Byline, a weekday radio commentary heard on more than 240 radio stations. He also hosts the weekday Byline television commentary aired around the world on over 900 television stations with a potential audience of 186 million viewers. He has served as senior pastor of First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, Florida, since 1987. First Assembly has 10,000 members and adherents across five campuses. He has ministered in over 60 nations and has worked on behalf of World Missions, raising tens of millions of dollars.
A public Doctor of Ministry symposium will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. in the AGTS chapel. Twenty-two candidates will present summaries of field-based doctoral projects. Topics include:
- Pastoral Emotional Intelligence
- Suffering as an Integral Component of Christian Life and Ministry
- Grief and Bereavement in the Military
- Effects of Sin and Righteousness on Aging
