Alumnus Serves as National Representative for Jewish Ministries
After 18 years as home missionaries, planting three Messianic
congregations in California and New York, the Gannons moved to
Jerusalem, Israel, in 1989, and founded Israel College of the
Bible (www.israelcollege.com).
In fall 2003, the Gannons returned
to the United States so Ray could fill a newly created position—national
representative for Jewish ministries—in the A/G’s
Home Missions Department. They have since established Israel’s
Redemption, an evangelism ministry (www.allisrael2020.org).
Gannon’s
vision is to see 101 major American Jewish population centers
(minimally 11,000 Jews) evangelized and discipled by A/G churches.
To that end, Gannon’s team is preparing in-depth community
profiles for all 101 centers. Thirty-five such profiles are now
available. Israel’s Redemption also conducts Jewish evangelism
training seminars, several of which are available in a self-
or group-study format.
He continues to serve as visiting professor
of missions and Jewish studies at AGTS.
