Bob Brenneman Completes Ground-Breaking Study of Kurdish Culture

Bob Brenneman (M.A. in Intercultural Ministries 1992) completed his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota, January 2006. His dissertation was entitled “We Have no Friends but the Mountains: Transmitting Kurdish Culture, Identity, and Indigenous Knowledge in Changing Contexts.”

Brenneman has been the department chair of the cross-cultural studies department at North Central University since 1999. He served as an AG missionary to Turkey (1981-1991), northern Iraq (1992-1996) and Azerbaijan in 1998.

"AGTS played a major role in preparing me for my 15 years of ministry in the Middle East,” said Brenneman, “as well as
my teaching at NCU.”
