Enrollment Highest on Record!
Enrollment at AGTS rose for the fifth consecutive year, reaching an all time high of
496 during fall 2002. The previous record of 447 was set 15 years earlier in spring
1987. The spring 2003 semester finished strong, reflecting a growth of 8.3% above the
previous year, with 471 students registered. Summer 2003 is consistent and expected
to reach 430.

Fall Semester Profile
Degree Programs Pursued: doctor of ministry, +9%; master of divinity, +13%;
and master of arts in theological studies, Christian ministries, counseling, and intercultural
ministries, +17%.
Geographic Origin: Seminarians represented 46 states and 24 countries. The
states with the highest enrollment included Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, California,
Illinois, Iowa, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Washington.
Gender balance: Of those enrolled, 30% were women.
Age range: The median age for resident students was 33; continuing education,
42; Doctor of Ministry, 49.
Denomination affiliation: 83% were Assemblies of God.
Ethnicity: Ethnic groups comprised 16% of the student body.
College background: 67% attended Bible-affiliated colleges or universities.
Degrees Awarded
At the thirtieth annual commencement on May 3, a total of 120 degrees were awarded
to 117 graduates.

Alumni
AGTS alumni serve in 125 countries and include:
- 1,100 pastors;
- 1,300 missionaries;
- 128 military, industrial, and institutional chaplains;
- 160 college presidents, vice presidents, deans, professors, principals and teachers;
- 70 district and national church leaders and staff.
