Remote Password Access to Databases that Require a Separate Password
Obtaining a Password
A limited number of the databases licenses by the Evangel University libraries cannot be accessed using your Evangel ID and Password. In such cases, the library has set up a separate User Name and password that is specific to that database. In order students, faculty and staff of Evangel University/AGTS to access these databases:
- Contact Rick Oliver at the AGTS Library and ask for the information needed to gain access to the particular database(s) that you are interested in. Be sure to identify yourself and your current student status at AGTS or Evangel University. You should receive an email shortly with the access information.
- Access the database (links are provided in the Indexes & Databases list) and enter in the User ID and/or password when prompted.
Important Policies to Remember
- In order to obtain passwords, you must be currently enrolled in courses at Evangel University (Resident or Distance) or employed by Evangel University as faculty or staff. The only exception to this is the special access to the ATLAS database provided to alumni.
- These instructions only apply to the handful of databases for which access has not yet been set up for your EU ID and Password. If the database has already been set up to enable you to access with your EU ID and Password (as is the case with the EBSCO and Pro Quest databases as well as a variety of others), there will be no need to request an additional password for database access.
